While in Bolivia, Blackhawk Church partners with Food for the Hungry, a Christian organization seeking to end all forms of human poverty by going into the hard places and walking closely with the world’s most vulnerable people.

Chronic malnutrition is a primary concern in Bolivia, especially for children. One of the ways Food for the Hungry addresses this is through the construction of neighborhood nutritional centers. At these nutrition centers, Food for the Hungry staff will work with expectant mothers and families with young children by providing cooking classes, basic health and nutrition attention, and nutritional counseling. Blackhawk has been invited by Food for the Hungry to come alongside the community of Lajastambo in Bolivia. Our teams goal is to engage relationally with people in the community of Lajastambo and to come alongside the work Food for the Hungry is already doing in Bolivia.
